The conceptual and mechanical pivot around which the entire shotgun is developed is the choice to use Anson&Deeley batteries. Born in 1875, this trigger system still boasts undisputed qualities of simplicity and robustness combined with superior construction quality and operational reliability. A peculiarity of absolute value of the mechanism used on Fausti side-by-side is the fact that it has maintained all the originality of that brilliant intuition, starting from the leaf springs that activate the firing pin, rejecting simplifications and construction shortcuts.

The high quality of the individual components, obtained from solid using CNC machines, is further enhanced by the final check guaranteed by the experience of specialized personnel.

The Dea SLX is characterized by the action with side plates on which an elegant acanthus leaf decoration develops which detaches from the bottom which is in turn worked to create an intriguing light-dark effect which also continues on the chest – where it surrounds a partridge golden in flight and a cartouche with the model name – and partly on the receiver breasts, left partially smooth with a pleasant contrast effect. The finish can be chosen coin finish or color case. 

The barrels are available in a wide range of sizes, with fixed or interchangeable chokes. The rib is flat, anti-reflective guilloched and ends with the classic brass pearl. 

The trigger system, available with non-selective single trigger or double trigger, activated by a silver-coloured trigger, protected by the long trigger guard, which extends backwards on the English-style stock in top-quality oil-finished walnut, ending with a full rubber butt plate. The forend is also English in the 12, 16 and 20 gauge, while it is semi-beavertail in the 28 and .410, thus offering a better grip on thin diameter barrels.
